Baacha Khan Trust Educational Foundation

Baacha Khan Primary School Mathra (Peshawar) was opened on September 1,2007 in building donated by Mr. Hashim Babar at Mathra, Peshawar city. The school has classes from Nursery to grade IV. There are total 193 students enrolled in the school. The school is a unit of Connected Classrooms Program of the British Council Pakistan.

Teachers are qualified and dedicated. All the teachers have received pre-service training and are also benefiting from Supported Open Learning Center (SOLC) of British Council.

Baacha Khan School Pabini, District Swabi is an elementary school, having classes from Nursery to grade II. The school was opened in Pabeni Village, Swabi on September 1, 2008. There are 76 students with 68% and 32% boys and girls participation rate in the school. The school is registered with Mardan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education..

There are qualified male and female teachers and teaching interns for junior grades. Pre-service training has been imparted to all the teachers.

Baacha Khan School Shahbaz Garhi, District Mardan is an elementary school opened in a rented building on September 18, 2008. The school has classes from Nursery to grade II having a total of 80 enrollments with 50% gender participation ratio. Baacha Khan School at Thall, District Hangu started functioning from November 1, 2008. The school has classes from Nursery up to grade III with al total of 168 enrolments. Gender-wise students participation rate is 55 and 45 per cent for girls and boys students respectively. The school is registered with Karak Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.

Finding a qualified teaching staff meeting minimum selection criteria has been a big challenge for the school, however with the trust and support of the local community, the Foundation has been able to find promising female staff for the school.
