Khadim Hussain (Managing Director)
Currently
working as Managing Director Baacha Khan Trust Educational Foundation (BKTEF)
Peshawar, Pakistan, Khadim Hussain has worked as permanent faculty for
Linguistics and Communication at Bahria University Islamabad, Pakistan, from
2004 to 2010. He has also taught at the department of Linguistics Qauid-e-Azam
University Islamabad for several years.
With a special interest in researching Discourse Construction, Critical
Discourse Analysis, and Critical Thinking, Khadim Hussain has some 30
international research publications and scores of media articles on education,
human security, social transformation, culture, linguistics, extremism and
terrorism and regional cooperation to his credit besides participation in more
than 12 international conferences over the last 15 years.
He has a book "Rethinking Education- Critical Discourse and Society" published
in 2012 and another book, "The Militant Discourse" published in 2013 to his
credit. His Urdu novel Paqdandi was published by Narratives Islamabad in 2014.
He has been a Co-Researcher for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the project titled "Mode
and Scale of Conflict in Iran, Turkey and Pakistan" by School of Higher Studies
in Social Sciences based in Paris. He has also completed a research project with
HEC on the Reading Habits of University Students of Pakistan in 2005. He has
completed a project on education reforms with Rand Corporation in 2006.
He has been working as a Resource Person for the workshops organized by Faculty
Research Development Program launched by the Higher Education Commission of
Pakistan in 2005. Khadim Hussain has been regularly invited as resource person
by several national and international organizations to their workshops and
conferences on the themes mentioned above. Khadim Hussain has also been engaged
in literary creativity, socio-political activism and advocacy for the last 15
years on the issues mentioned above. He has been regularly writing on the
editorial pages of the daily Dawn, Pakistan, on the issues of militancy, social
development and religious extremism in FATA and Pakhtunkhwa for the last ten
years.
Rashid
Jan (Admin and Procurement Officer)
Mr. Rashid Jan has been working at the Baacha Khan Trust Educational Foundation
(BKTEF) as Procurement and Administration Officer for the last six years. He has
done BCS (Hon) from Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad. He has also worked
as IT administrator at the Aryana Institute for Regional Research and Advocacy
for one year.
Arbab
Altaf Qadir (Senior Field Officer)
Mr. Arbab Altaf Qadir has done Masters in Economics from the University of
Peshawar in 1986. He has worked as District Coordinator for the Youth Leadership
Program at the BKTEF since 2010. He currently works as Senior Field Officer at
the BKTEF.
Faheemullah
(Assistant School Support Officer (Academics)
Mr. Faheem Ullah has done M.Phil in Biotechnology from University of Peshawar in
2012. He is expert in culturing of microorganism and microbial Bio-products
isolation and optimization. He has completed his PhD course work and is working
on microbial bioactive products and their mechanism of action in-selico using
computational biology. He remained lecturer of Chemistry and Biology at Warsak
Model School and College for two years. He is working as Assistant School
Support Officer (Academics) at Baacha Khan Trust Educational Foundation since
2013.
Mr.
Ashraf Ali (Field Officer)
Mr. Ashraf Ali graduated from Edwards College Peshawar in 1988. He has also done
Masters in History from University of Peshawar. He has also been a practicing
lawyer for five years. He currently works as Field Officer at the BKTEF.
Gohar
Nangyal
Mr. Gohar Nangyal has done Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication. He is a
free-lance journalist. He writes analytical pieces and features for leading
Pashto journals. With a keen interest in culture development, Mr. Gohar Nangyal
works for preservation and promotion of culture in the Pashtun region. He
currently works as Media Officer at the BKTEF.
Imran
Khan (Curriculum Officer)
Imran Khan has been working at Baacha Khan Trust Educational Foundation (BKTEF)
as Curriculum Officer in implementing Critical Model of Education in 15 Baacha
Khan Schools run by the Foundation across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Foundation
strives to provide free and subsidized education to the underprivileged and
marginalized communities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He is also working with Baacha
Khan Trust Educational Foundation (BKTEF) as resource person and conduct Basic
Teachers Trainings including modules such as critical model of education,
activity based and child centered learning, classroom management, teaching
language, and critical thinking and communication skills. He has also been
resource person for Youth Leadership Program KP of the Baacha Khan Trust
Educational Foundation for the last three years. His areas of interests and
research are cognitive linguistics, critical thinking, communication skills and
conflict management. He is editor of the bilingual educational Newsletter Mashal
published by the BKTEF Peshawar. He conducts courses and seminars
on Communication Skills and Critical Thinking in Academic and Social
Environment. In this regard, he has conducted a seminar in Department of
Chemistry, University of Peshawar in March 2015. He has also been recently
invited by the Agriculture University as resource person on Communication Skills
and Conflict Management Skills with Youth under its faculty development program.
He has trained more than 600 teachers and more than 1000 youth in leadership and
communication skills.Curriculum Officer.
Nazir
Khan (Manager Finance)
Mr. Nazir Khan obtained Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) and Association of
Chartered Certified Accounting (ACCA) UK Based qualification from SKANS School
of Accountancy Islamabad. He has worked with well-known Chartered Accountant
firms including Taseer Hadi & CO (KPMG) and Avais Hyder Laiquat Nauman (AHLN
RSM). He has attended multiple seminars on Auditing and Financial issues. Nazir
Khan currently works as Manager Finance at Baacha Khan Trust Educational
Foundation( BKTEF).
Samina
Rehman
Ms. Samina Rehman has done LLB and Masters in Education (M. Ed) from University
of Peshawar. She has been working at the Baacha Khan Trust Educational
Foundation (BKTEF) for the last nine years on various positions. She served
Baacha Khan School Mathra as Principal for four years and as Teacher for three
years. Currently, she is working as Assistant School Support Officer (Admin) at
the head office of the BKTEF.
Aimal
Khan
Mr. Aimal Khan has done M.S (Management Science) from University of Peshawar. He
currently works as an Assistant Admin/HR Officer at the BKTEF.
Adnan
Durrani
Mr. Adnan Durrani has done MBA from University of Wales (UK). He currently works
as an Assistant Admin Officer (Logistics) at the BKTEF.
Mr.
Rehman Ullah (Front Desk Officer)
Mr. Rehman Ullah is working as Front Desk Officer in the BKTEF. He has completed
his Secondary Education and has worked for almost five years with various
Chartered Accountants Firms. He had also maintained the positions of Accountant
and Corporate Affairs Person.
Natasha
Khan
Natasha Khan is a graduate in International Relations. She is currently working
with Baacha Khan Trust Educational Foundation as a Planning& Development (P&D)
Officer. Her job duties include assisting in strategic planning, exploring
international partnerships, making draft reports of all activities conducted by
the BKTEF and making end year reports for the organization. She is voracious
reader of books and wishes to pursue writing as a profession.
Madeeha
She has done Masters in Psychology from Islamia College University Peshawar. She has a keen interest in the assessment and evaluation of various behaviors that impact actions and competence of individuals. She has been working as Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at the Baacha Khan Trust Educational Foundation (BKTEF) for the last two years and six months. In this capacity, she regularly writes M&E reports of all the activities carried out by BKTEF, monthly M&E reports of various departments of the BKTEF, and task monitoring reports of BKTEF Head Office.
Wagma
Feroz
Wagma Feroz is working as a Psychological Counselor and Theatre Trainer at BKTEF. She is a Human Rights and peace activist of Pashtun origin –Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Having gained a Master’s in Psychology from University of Peshawar, she is currently working as a Psychological Counselor. She is also a Baacha Khan Fellow. Her aim is to help improve the young, traumatized victims of the conflicts engulfing the region. She has also been engaged in peace building activities for the last 8 years; her experience of working with young people from post-conflict tribal areas enables her to actively engage them in conflict resolution and peace building training programs. Wagma is the founder and executive director of a volunteer social organization “Da Torsaro Saadar” concerned with gender related issues; here she advocates girls’ education, the rights of children, peace and pluralism by using theatre as a tool for social change. Until now, she has conducted more than three hundred interactive shows on diverse social issues in tribal and war stricken areas, where they are considered taboo. She is hoping her work will help to bring peace and provide a brighter future to a young generation of Pashtuns. Wagma Feroz has multiple experience of working with National and International organizations and has travelled to a number of countries for the promotion of peace, harmony and welfare of her hometown.
