• 3rd position in Painting competition for peace 2013

• Winner in Cultural games competition 2014

Maheen studies at Baacha Khan School Mathra since Nursery. She isn’t only bold and confident when it comes to performing on stage whether it’s singing or painting.She shows passion for all academic and cultural activities.

She sang a song Wakhla Baacha Khana da Khushal da kor Qalang Malang on Baacha Khan’s death anniversary at BKS Nautia on 24th January, 2016, which was highly applauded and admired by the audience attending the event.

Besides singing and painting, she is also very keen to learn stitching and to participate in tableaus.

Malaika is a 13 year old girl who is bold, committed, and enthusiastic and knows her way around.

She studies in grade 7of Baacha Khan School Mathra,Peshawar. Her father works in a company in Saudi Arabia and her mother is a housewife. She was admitted in grade 3 at Baacha Khan School.

Malaika presented a speech on the life of Baacha Khan in BKS Nautia on the death anniversary of Baacha Khan with great vigour and fervor, and left the audience mesmerised.

My father runs a general store in our locality while my mother is a housewife. I was admitted in Baacha Khan School in 4th grade where I found a platform to present my abilities.

As a student of Baacha Khan School Pabini, Swabi, I was one amongst the 12 selected participants out of hundreds of contestants from both India and Pakistan in painting competition for Aghaz e Dosti Peace calendar 2017.

Bacha Khan School Mathra, Peshawar

I was very shy before I took admission in Baacha Khan school, and was unable to express myself. I was afraid to ask questions and lacked warmth in communication with my classmates. Perhaps, it was due to my bad experience with my teachers in my previous school where we were usually discouraged to ask questions.

When I passed my grade fifth examination, my mother came to school to collect school leaving certificate along with my result. When asked the reason, she told with a heavy heart and tears in her eyes that we’re financially unstable, coupled with the fact that her grandfather did not like her going to school and wanted her to be admitted in a religious seminary instead.
