“Bacha Khan Reading Skills Development Program”


With support from USAID Small Grants and Ambassador’s Fund Program (SGAFP), Bacha Khan Trust Educational Foundation (BKTEF) has launched the five (08) months project titled “Bacha Khan Reading Skills Development Program”


The of this project is to improve reading skills among students at 14 BKTEF’s schools and 70 neighboring schools by;


a) Setting up libraries in Foundation’s schools.

b) Hiring and training 84 language teachers.

c) Conducting reading classes in 3 languages – English, Urdu, Pashtu and,

d) Arranging community events for sensitizing public about the importance of reading.


USAID/Pakistan has, in cooperation with the USAID Office of Inspector General, established the Anti-Fraud Hotline to provide an avenue for the reporting of fraud, waste, and abuse which may be associated with USAID funded projects in Pakistan. Complaints are handled with complete confidentiality and individuals are encouraged to report when corruption, fraud, waste or abuse may exist in the USAID/Pakistan projects.
