Every nation struggles for political and economic empowerment. We have to travel a long way to achieve these millstones.  Historical necessity has bound us to put our share in this struggle. We have been disempowered by disconnecting us from our indigenous history. People with indigenous skills were intentionally turned into a caste system and our own people started looking down upon indigenous skills and wisdom. Therefore, a vital part of the society was marginalized. We lost the spirit of an egalitarian ethos of our society. We have to connect our nation with its history indigenous skills and wisdom, and teach them modern skills to come at par with the civilized world. The sole purpose of Baacha Khan Schools is to attain these goals by training our students in critical and creative thinking, indigenous and modern skills, environmental consciousness and civic sense, reiterated, Dr. Khadim Hussain, in his concluding remarks in a combined meeting of the Principles of Baacha Khan and Community Education Committee (CEC) arranged on January 4, 2016 at Peshawar.
