Monthly meeting of the principals

“A society can only be revolutionized in its true sense when it is established on a philosophy of connecting the people with their own roots. It can only evolve when people understand the worth and relate themselves with their own heritage and feel proud of their existence. At the same time, a forward looking society has to be connected the evolution of human kind. We have our own indigenous wealth of knowledge, springs of wisdom and system of values which took shape after hundreds of years of experiences of our forefathers. If we want to see our society peaceful and prosperous, we must build on indigenous system of life which is based on human dignity, pluralism, indigenous identity and gender equity”, said Dr. Khadim Hussain, in his opening remarks of the monthly meeting of the principals of Baacha Khan Schools held at the BKTEF Directorate on October 6, 2015.

The life, vision and mission of Baacha Khan clearly reflects these values. BKTEF draws its inspiration from the life and vision of Baacha Khan and that is why every student of Baacha Khan School should be an embodiment of these values”, he added.

The following issues and challenges were discussed in the monthly meeting and decisions were taken to find solutions and implement them on ground.

1- Updates about the vulnerable and deserving girls’ education and crafts classes.

2- After noon classes in the Baacha Khan Schools where there is limitation of space.

3- Donations of skin of sacrificed animals.

4- Submission of first term results.

5- Preparation of 9th and 10th classes.

6- Celebrations of national and international days and their reports.


The meeting was attended by all principals of Baacha Khan Schools, School Management Department, Field and Finance Department. Principal of each Baacha Khan School updated the participants of the meeting on overall academic standard of the BK School, specifically briefing the participants on vulnerable and deserving girls. They also discussed the learning outcomes of the syllabus taught to the vulnerable girls. The following decisions were taken in the meeting:

  • 1st term examination will be conducted before summer vocations from the next session.
  • All schools must submit papers for the second term exam till 20th October, 2015.
  • All schools must arrange two culture exhibitions from October 01, 2015 to September 30, 2016 and send the dates for cultural events within a week.
  • Baacha Khan syllabus must be included in question papers.
  • Course completion certificates for vulnerable girls will be designed and provided by Directorate.
  • BKS Thall and Swat must form active and affective Community Education Committees for the substantial support of the community.
  • Orientation on basic technology for culture teachers and refresher course for counselors will be arranged in the second week of November.

Meeting was ended with a vote of thanks from the MD BKTEF, Dr.Khadim Hussain.
