BKTEF organizes Political Leadership Training for the youth of district Swabi, Shangla and Bannu



Political Leadership Training for the youth of district Swabi, Shangla and Bannu concluded successfully on November 11, 2014. The training was held at the BKTEF Directorate from November 7, 2014 to November 11, 2014. Thirty participants attended the training. Resource Persons of the training were:

1. Dr. Khadim Hussain

2. Mr. Imran Khan

3. Ms. Gulalai Ismail

4. Ms. Samira Shams

On the first day of the Training Mr. Imran Khan conducted a session on “Communication and Leadership skills”. The session comprised of discussion and activities on critical thinking, assumption, perception, listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

On second day Ms.Gulalai Ismail conducted a session on “Social and Human Evolution”. She explained the classification of society, decision making in society, conspiracies within the society and human evolution.

Ms. Samira Shams conducted session on the concept of development and discussed the economic development concept with reference to Amartya Sen. She also explained Millennium Development Goals and analyzed goal wise status of Pakistan accordingly.

On third day Ms.Gulalai Ismail conducted session on “Human Rights” by explaining the concept of Human Rights, UNO charter of Human Rights, Women Rights and Human Rights in the constitution of Pakistan.

On the fourth day of the Training, a session on History of Political Thought was conducted by Dr.Khadim Hussain.  A brief history of Indus civilization and independence movement of Pakistan was discussed. In the evening session he threw light on Indigenous Human Development and Enlightenment movements. He also highlighted Baacha Khan’s Khudai Khidmatgar Movement In detail.

On last day of the Training, Managing Director BKTEF, Dr. Khadim Hussain, conducted sessions on Political Concepts, Militancy and Extremism. The militant and pluralist discourses were contrasted while explaining the socio-cultural dynamics in Pakistan.

At the end of the training, certificates were distributed among the successful candidates.

The Training was concluded with a vote of thanks from MD BKTEF Dr. Khadim Hussain.
