Baacha Khan School Shahbaz Garhi, Mardan celebrates International Vernacular day

mardan-vernicular-dayOn 21st February, 2012 Baacha Khan School Shahbaz Garhi, Mardan celebrated International Vernacular day. The theme of the event was "Preservation and protection of mother tongue". The main objective of this celebration was to bring awareness in the students to protect and preserve their mother language.

The event was started with the recitation of the Holy Quran with translation in Pashto, followed by Dua. Student of the school presented Poems, Quotations, speeches in their mother language. All teachers expressed their view about mother tongue. The stage was presided by a school teacher Ms. Shabnam Naseer. She also presented beautiful verses in Pashto.

Ms. Ramim, Principal of the school highlighted the importance of this event. She further explained to the students that why USA, France, Japan, China and UK are most developed countries and they are ruling all over the world because they preserve and documents their own mother language. But unfortunatly we are giving importance to the foreign languages. You will be the youth of tomorrow and you will be the pillar of your mother language in future. If you give importance to your mother tongue then it will never goes down. There is a need to raise it.

At the end of the event she appreciated all the participants who presented poems, speeches, verses and skits. The event was ended with the school Anthem and Dua.
